A tribute
It just doesn’t seem right
Because he did nothing wrong
Now, forever, he is out of sight
But he did nothing wrong
His parents loved their son just like anyone else
But what can they do now
All the plans they had have to be shelved
But what can they do now
Smiling & laughing with friends in the morning
Gone he was in the night
Laughter turned into mourning
Gone he was in the night
Makes you take a different look at life
Loss of someone you know
Devalues stupid rivalries and strifes
Loss of someone you know
Life will have to go on just life before
Goodbye, Rest in peace
But he will be missed, who is nomore

i've been reading a number of poems but this one has a little something extra to it. It's interesting to note the different styles and emotions people associate with a good bye.

The final goodbye makes every thing that bothers us in life seem petty and pointless. Nice one here
i wish to think this is not real...

Nicely written. It is so difficult to say goodbye to someone you know, someone you love. I don't think it ever ends with a goodbye.
A very different kind of a goodbye poem it is.Sad but still enjoyed reading it..in fact I feel that there is a positivity in it inspite of it being a 'goodbye'.
